TOP TEN TUESDAY: Ten books I want to find under my tree

(Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and The Bookish!)

A couple of weeks ago I told you which books YOU needed to ask for - now you're about to find out which books I'M going to ask for!

10) The Young Elites trilogy by Marie Lu

I had to choose some complete series that I wanted to start with - I'm such a series hoarder!
'The Midnight Star' has only been out for a couple of months, but now that the series is finished I really want to catch up on it. I've heard that it's doing great things for diversity, having a disabled main character, and that's something I want to read more of (particularly in fantasy!).

9) The Legend trilogy by Marie Lu

The second series I hope I get for Christmas is another series by Marie Lu - the Legend trilogy.
My best friend keeps recommending that I pick these up, but whenever I look for them in the library they're on loan. Hopefully I'll get given these and I can finally start them!

8) The Shatter Me trilogy by Tahereh Mafi

This is the last series, I promise!
I've heard such wonderful things about the Shatter Me series, but I haven't had a chance to read them yet. After finding a box set of the books on Amazon I put it at the top of my Christmas list - I'm crossing all of my fingers that the Christmas elves will have listened!

7) 'How Not To Disappear' by Clare Furniss

I only read 'How Not To Disappear' last week, but I'd borrowed it from the library. After falling in love with it and beginning to class it as one of my favourite books, I'd love to have my own copy at home!

6) 'Magonia' by Maria Dahvana Headley

I've wanted to read 'Magonia' since it was published. It's so beautiful, and it sounds like a book I'm really going to enjoy. The sequel has just been released, so I need to get a move on with these novels!

5) 'The Twelve Days of Dash and Lily' by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan

I'm making the effort to read all of the current Zoella book club choices so that I can join in with the conversations, and this is one of her picks. It's Christmassy, so it would be the perfect book to find under my tree!

4) 'Starflight' by Melissa Landers

Okay, so I haven't finished Melissa Landers' Alienated series (YET!) but I enjoy her writing so much that I want to get my hands on all of it. 'Starflight' is the most beautiful of her books and the sequel is coming out soon, so this seems like a good place to start!

3) 'The Unbound' by Victoria Schwab

I loved 'The Archived' when I read it last year, and I want to carry on with this series. I read the first book out of the library, and we don't have a copy of the second novel, so I need to get hold of this somehow.

2) 'Anansi Boys' by Neil Gaiman

I haven't read all of Neil Gaiman's novels yet, but I own most of them - with the exception of 'Anansi Boys'.

1) 'Gemina' by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

After getting 'Illuminae' from my secret Santa, I want to get hold of the sequel so that I can read both of them. The formatting is very unique, and I think I'll probably be able to read the first book in a day even though it's quite chunky!

I hope you enjoyed this Top Ten Tuesday! Have you read any of these books, and if you have would you recommend them?

This is the last TTT before Christmas, so I'm sending big love to you all and hoping you all have a wonderful holiday, whether you're celebrating Christmas or just taking advantage of the bank holidays to spend time with your loved ones.
